Cloth diapering is an amazing choice for any family to make for themselves, for their children and for the environment. Making this choice, however, isn't always easy. Cloth diapering involves an initial investment, and this investment can be more than some families can afford. It's harder to come up with $300 at once for a stash of cloth diapers that will ultimately save you money than it is to come up with $10 at once for a pack of disposables.

There have been many organizations that accept and distribute cloth diaper donations to families in need. These organizations, however, involve a lot of work on the part of the middleman, and increase overall costs (shipping to the organization then shipping to recipients, packaging, inventory, employees, storage, etc.) The cloth cooperative takes the idea of diaper donations to a whole new level.

Recipients apply through the site, and once approved, site moderators will create a thread in the forum, detailing the applicants needs. Donors are then able to offer their diapers to the recipient, thus reducing costs and giving donors peace of mind that their donation is truly going to someone in need.

Donors may also apply for "verified" status by verifying that they are who they say they are. Approved recipients may accept donations from whoever they wish, however, we strongly recommend, for safety reasons, that they only accept donations from verified donors.
